Before leaving my next trip, i had fugu (pufferfish). fugu has long been praised in japan as a great delicacy—and the culinary equivalent of russian roulette. wild fugu contain a deadly poison similar to curare for which there is no known antidote. despite the attendant risk and expense, fugu remains immensely popular in japan. if you're in New Haven, try it out at the study hotel restaurant. it's one of the few places you can get it state side.

I got the new sony 5 megapixel t1 camera (smallest in the world so far) and it's great, but you sure do fill up memory sticks fast. solution: the belkin memory reader / transfer device for ipod. now i have over 40 gigs of photo storage, without a pc or mac. this is the digital photographer's best friend.

I set my ambient orb (a wireless orb device that will change colors based on datasources on the web) to change color based on the homeland security status, right now, since we're in "high alert" the orb is orange. this will remind me to do the things i normally do, and not give in to terror (sometimes i get frightened).
